Extractions & Wisdom Teeth
We always strive to try to help you keep your natural teeth; but sometimes, due to extensive decay, fractures or bad gum disease, a tooth will have to be extracted. While a lot of offices do not like to extract teeth and refer many to an oral surgeon, we normally extract almost all teeth that need to be pulled. The exceptions are when it is in your best interest to be put to sleep (such as very bad wisdom teeth) or the health of the patient presents an unusual problem (such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, or severe bleeding disorders).
I believe it is often advantageous to the patient to have one doctor perform many of their needs, as the doctor can better time treatment sequences and can follow up on the case better. Please check out our post-operative instructions on other pages, and feel confident you are in good hands.
